Light Curve Tool for Small Bodies

Generic Body Mode

This tool simulates rotational light curves for a generic 3D object. It also offers the possibility to represent the object projected onto the sky plane. The object is located at the origin in the ecliptic reference frame, the observer is fixed along the X-axis, while the Sun rotates within the XY plane according to the phase angle specified by the user. Users can upload a custom shape model in .obj format or define the principal axes of a triaxial ellipsoid. For more details, please refer to the manual. In this video you have a usage example.

Estimated runtimes depend on the light curve resolution and the number of facets in the shape model. Click here to view benchmark times for typical configurations
